The Grandiose Art Festival and the Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the National Youth Corps ” Paurshaabhimana” was held at the Bandaranayake Memorial Conference Hall under the patronage of Hon Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardana on 17 January 2023.
State Minister Sports and Youth Affairs Hon. Rohana Dissanayake, Chief of Staff to the President Mr. Sagala Ratnayayake, Hon. Madhura Withana MP, Hon. Kapila Nuwan Atukorala MP and some distinguished guests participated in the occasion.
Certificates and Awards were presented to the youth cadets who excelled in English and Information Technology subjects of the prescribed courses conducted at island wide NYC centres. The significant feature of the event was not only the trainees received certificates but also the Instructors and the general staff received honours.
The National Youth Corps celebrated its 20 Anniversary this year since its inception in 2003.
