A monetary donation from the collection of a day’s wage of each employee of NYC was contributed to the proposed Intensive Care Unit of the IDH Pediatric Ward. This collection amounting to (over) Rs. One million, was handed over to the Covid Fund of the College of Pediatricians on 01 October 2021. This was initiated by the Chairman of NYC, Col. Dharshana Ratnayake: while accepting the donation Prof. Shyaman Rajeendra appreciated the great efforts of the Chairman and staff of NYC.
