Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between National Youth Corps (NYC) and Katumana International Buddhist Centre was signed at the National Youth Corps Headquarters on 24 August 2024 in view of facilitating underprivileged youth between the age of 16 -28 years at Katumana in general area Nuwara-eliya . A centre for Information Technology and Language Training is to be established at Katumana International Buddhist Temple as a lasting solution for the youths of the area affiliating to the National Youth Corps Training Centre Nuwara Eliya on the request of Chief Incumbent of International Buddhist Centre Rev. Galahitiyagoda Sumanarathana Thero. Brig. Sujeewa Rathnayake Director National Youth Corps signed the MoU responding to the request extending the NYC assistance to the youth in the area.
Additional Director Training and Development, Assistant Director (Operational), Provincial Director Central, and the Legal Officer NYC were present on the occasion.
