National Youth Corps (NYC) celebrated its 20 th anniversary on 16 and 17 December at the NYC Headquarters to mark the glorious past of the National Youth Corps and its pioneers’ utmost dedication extended towards the organization.
All night Pirith Chanting ceremony was organized along with an Alms giving for 20 Bhikkus at the NYC Headquarters with a large gathering of staff members of island wide NYC Training Centres to invoke blessings to all past and present staff members.
In parallel to the Buddhist religious rituals, Hindu and Islam prayers were organized in Koneshwaram kovil and Mosque in Tricomalee respectively with the participation of NYC cadets and staffers in the area.
