The Annuval Art Festival of the National Youth Corps (NYC) was held at the Diyatha Uyana premises on 17,18 and 19 October 2023, with the participation of a large number of youth cadets.
On the first day youth cadets participated in a wokshop conducted by veteran artists of the “Shilpa Sabha” and directed talented youth to groom themselves.
Second day they had practical sessions to come out with their skills under the guidance of the veteran artists in different fields such as sculpture, landscaping, graphic designing, artifical flower creations, art designing, portrait, clay creations and weaving.
On the last day, their creations were selected and were apprecited by a board of judges and awarded certificates.
Certificates were awarded by the Hon. Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Roshan Ranasinghe MP.
Mr.Nilantha Ekanayake Chairman NYC, Brigadier Sujeewa Rathnayake USP psc IG Director NYC, Veteran artists, Additional Directors of NYC and distinguished guests graced the occsion.
