The certificate award ceremony of the National Youth Corps Hotel Training School successfully took place on 13th December under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Eranga Gunasekara, at the Dambulla Hotel Training School in a highly prestigious manner.
A total of 191 trainees who successfully completed courses in Professional Cookery, Pastry and Bakery, Food and Beverage Service, Reception, Housekeeping, and Assistant Hotel Receptionist received their certificates. Additionally, 24 trainees who earned the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and received their certificates.
The event was attended by a number of distinguished individuals, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mr. Aruna Bandara, officials from the Ministry, the Director of the National Youth Corps, Brigadier Sujeewa Rathnayake USP psc IG, members of the National Youth Corps Board of Directors, Provincial Directors, officials from the Hotel Owners’ Association, Centre Heads, Advisors, the trainees, and their parents.
