A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Youth Corps and Barista Coffee Lanka to launch a collaborative Barista Vocational Training Programme. The signing took place on April 24 at the National Youth Corps Headquarters, with Director of the National Youth Corps, Mr. Gamini Wickramapala, and Chief Executive Officer/Director of Barista Coffee Lanka, Mr. Dilup Pathirana, representing their respective institutions.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both organizations, including Mr. Saman Kulasuriya, Additional Director (Training and Development), and Attorney-at-Law Mr. Nishantha Pushpakumara, Additional Director (Administration and Finance) of the National Youth Corps. Also present were Mr. Harsha Chanaka, Head of Human Resources and Administration at Barista Coffee Lanka, along with several other senior officials.
This partnership aims to provide professional training opportunities for youth in the field of coffee making, empowering them with industry-relevant skills and enhancing employability.
