A new Director has been appointed to the National Youth Corps on January 23, Mr. Gamini Wickramapala, a senior officer with over 30 years of experience in the Sri Lanka Planning Service, began his duties as the Director of the National Youth Corps at its headquarters.
In his remarks at the commencement of his duties, Mr. Wickramapala emphasized his commitment to working for the advancement of Sri Lankan youth and pledged to further streamline the training processes within the Youth Corps.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Hon. Sunil Kumara Gamage, the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Hon. Eranga Gunasekara, the Secretary to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mr. Aruna Bandara, as well as senior officers from the Ministry and the National Youth Corps.
