Sri Lanka International Buddhist Academy (SIBA)
Sri Lanka International Buddhist Academy (SIBA) is an university located in Pallekele, Kandy operating under the auspices of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy. It is an educational institution registered under the Ministry of Higher Education and the University Grants Commission. As an international university, it is a member of the Association of the Commonwealth University (ACU) and of UNESCO.
SIBA inaugurated in 2009 is a non-profit organization under the administration of a Board of Directors. SIBA currently offers courses and degrees of Certificate, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters, and PhD levels in 55 academic disciplines, including Buddhist Philosophy/Education.
The course is conducted by the National Youth Corps Instructors in affiliation with the SIBA based on the syllabus from the same. A recognized certificate is awarded at the end of 06 months on a successful conclusion of the course.
Selected/qualified trainees will qualify to continue with their studies leading up to the degree level.
